This short video describes the essential components for effective frontline emergency care according to the World Health Organization. Emergency care is a primary point of access to the health system for many people around the world, and an essential part of Universal Health Coverage. Every country, regardless of available resources, can take steps towards strengthening emergency care, and many of these are described in World Health Assembly Resolution 72/31 “Emergency care systems for universal health coverage”.
