Σύμφωνα με δημοσίευμα του Συριακού κρατικού πρακτορείου ειδήσεων SANA, το οποίο άντλησε πληροφορίες από στρατιωτική πηγή, περί τις 1:30 σήμερα το βράδυ, Ισραηλινά μαχητικά αεροσκάφη, που πετούσαν στη Μεσόγειο θάλασσα, έπληξαν με πυραύλους αέρος εδάφους, το λιμάνι της Λαττάκεια και πιο συγκεκριμένα την περιοχή όπου αποθηκεύονται τα κοντέινερ, με αποτέλεσμα πάρα πολλά από αυτά να εκραγούν και να πιάσουν φωτιά.
Όπως δήλωσε αργότερα ο κυβερνήτης της Λαττάκεια, οι ομάδες πυρόσβεσης μετά από τιτάνιες προσπάθειες, κατάφεραν τελικά να σβήσουν τις φωτιές.
Τώρα, όσον αφορά το στόχο, η ιστοσελίδα του Συριακού Παρατηρητηρίου Ανθρωπίνων Δικαιωμάτων, κάνει λόγο για Ιρανικό φορτίο όπλων, που υπήρχε εντός των κοντέινερ και το οποίο τώρα, προφανώς έγινε απλά σκόνη στον άνεμο.

According to a report by the Syrian state news agency SANA, which obtained information from a military source, around 1:30 tonight, Israeli fighter jets, flying in the Mediterranean Sea, hit the port of Latakia with air-to-surface missiles and more specifically the area where the containers are stored, causing too many of them to explode and catch fire.
As the governor of Latakia later stated, the fire brigades, after titanic efforts, finally managed to put out the fires.
Now, regarding the target, the website of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, is talking about an Iranian shipment of weapons, which was inside the containers and which now, apparently, has simply become dust in the wind.
