(2020, December 1) Readability formulas (e.g., Flesch-Kincaid, Fry, Raygor) are objective measures of the ease of difficulty of a text based on characteristics of the text itself. They consider difficulty and complexity based on word length (syllables or number of letters) and sentence length (number of sentences per 100 words) and usually yield a grade-level equivalent.
