AS the country battles a health crisis, Congress increased the budget allocated for the modernization project of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) next year to P8 billion.
In a statement, Surigao del Sur Rep. Johnny T. Pimentel said the AFP Modernization Program is getting another P35 billion under the proposed 2022 P5.024-trillion National Expenditure Program (NEP), saying the funding is P8-billion more than the program’s P27 billion allocation this year.
